Me
I have
been
influenced by artistic talent from my mother, a painter and ceramists,
and by my father, a photographer. I tried copying them during
my growing up years, but then I began experimenting in my own vision.
Making Art is a Zen celebration. It quiets my mind and I
usually "zone out" to things around me. My music is always on
and at times I find I am painting or designing to the beat of
the music. Playing, using my mark in a creative path, taking
risk to explore and "see what happens", I have learned to become open
& willing to change plans when changes occur. I enjoy
the elements and principles of design in my art and work with my heart
and passion to completion, trying to suspend judgment on myself.
Visiting galleries, enjoying the contemporary as well as the old
masters leaves me breathless. I cannot grasp such wonderful
images coming from the connection of the mind and hand.
